Michiko worked as a lead designer for 11-12 Street Project by KPF. A nature-inspired, delicate ceramic façade revitalises Floral Street in Covent Garden. KPF's design for this section, part of a larger master plan, aimed to enhance the public realm and establish Floral Street as a retail destination. The project included a bespoke faience tile shopfront for No. 11 and the careful restoration of the Grade II-listed No. 12. Drawing from the area's prevalent natural ornamentation, the shopfront pattern at No. 11 takes inspiration from a seed pod – referencing the building’s former use as a seed warehouse – with the motif intended for consistent application throughout the development. Stepped residential units facing rear received planning consent however never realised.
