Competition entry by KPF for an office HQ for Paseo de la Castellana, Madrid. Michiko worked as a lead designer.

This project aims to transform an isolated site corner into an exemplary office and public destination, leading the way in sustainable, zero-carbon design that respects the site's history. Serving as the prominent entrance to the REAZCA masterplan, highly visible from Paseo de la Castellana, it features a central green heart to foster community. Intertwining public and office routes connect key points, encouraging exploration of the natural landscape. A naturally ventilated deep floor plate with a central atrium maximizes daylight and airflow. Prioritizing post-pandemic trends, amenities and collaboration spaces link to nature. A walkable design culminates in a roof garden. Flexible office floors encourage interaction, accommodating single or multiple tenancies.
